We encourage you to join one of our three excellent Republican Women's Clubs or the new Calvert County Republican Men's Club.
The REPUBLICAN WOMEN OF CALVERT COUNTY (RWCC) usually meets in the daytime in the Prince Frederick area. The RWCC President is Carol Lehman who can be reached at 410-535 9081 or via e-mail at by email.
REPUBLICAN WOMEN LEADERS OF CALVERT (RWLC): Formed in 2003 to provide greater opportunities for women with daytime jobs to influence the political process, the RWLC meets September through June at 6:30 p.m. on the 1st Monday of the month, with summer socials and an early fall wine tasting event. The new CALVERT COUNTY REPUBLICAN MEN'S CLUB welcomes men of all ages who are interested in getting together to build a stronger Republican Party and keeping up to date on political developments at the federal, state and local level. It meets normally at 7:30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at the Elks Club Lodge #2620 at 1015 Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick, MD 20678. Vacancy on County Board of Zoning Appeals
Calvert County is advertising for applicants to be appointed as an Alternate Member to the Board of Zoning Appeals. This is a volunteer position essential to the functioning of local government. Details from the County announcement are posted below. Please note that the deadline for application is June 8. You can obtain the application online at:

A quasi-judicial body, the board hears appeals from decisions made under authority of the Calvert County Zoning Ordinance and for Critical Area variances; other area variances such as set-backs, special exceptions, and expansions of non-conforming uses. We encourage you to apply for a County Board, Committee or Commission for which you are interested and are qualified. Service on one of these volunteer organizations is a wonderful way to better know and to better serve the wonderful County in which we live.
