First, we saw her shopping atTarget and dressing like a hipster at Coachella , and now: shes stopping by fast food restaurants to treat her peeps to some delicious snacks. The pop star stopped by fried chicken restaurant Nandos in the U.K. to buy the cast and crew of her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour mass amounts of chicken and fixings, to the tune of more than $2,200. MORE: Beyonces Diet: See Everything She Eats and Drinks While On Tour The receipt above proves that Beyonce K ordered a ton of chicken (she ordered 48 whole chickens), wings, chips (more than $100 worth!), veggie burgers, rice, and cole slaw from the South Africa-based fast food chain, to satiate her crews hunger following her performance at the V Music Festival in Hylands Park. MORE: Beyonce Biked to Her Last Concert in Brooklyn We just love the mental image this story conjures: Queen Bey and all her dancers, backup singers, and musicians (among others, to be sure) sitting on the bus and chowing down on some home-cooked poultry and sides. As incredibly famous and wealthy as she is, Beyonce seems like a legitimately down-to-earth, fun person; what kind of celebrity spends more than $2,000 on grub for the people who help support all their fame and riches? A nice one, thats who! And while it might not be the healthiest meal ever served up, after months and months of strenuous work, wed say Bey and all her peeps deserve to indulge. Tags:
The 3D CGI tale from 20th Century Fox was released on Blu-ray and DVD formats on Tuesday. The Blu-ray edition features over an hour of extras, including an interactive coloring book. When it was first released in theaters in May, the film garnered praise from Variety and The Washington Post for its striking visuals and scenery. Much of the film (which features the voices of Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried and Beyonce) is set in a land of enchantment where anything can happen, leading to several colorful set pieces. Thanks to her brilliant but eccentric scientist father, Mary Katherine ( Seyfried ) comes to find herself in a miniature world of magic, filled with some helpful characters (Farrell, Beyonce) and others who are not so helpful to say the least, like two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz’s malevolent Mandrake. Watch the video at the top of this story to see Seyfried and Farrell discuss what it was like to enter this fairy-tale world. There’s also video below of Beyonce in an exclusive clip taken directly from the Blu-ray release, which is now available in stores. 2013 CBS Interactive Inc. All Rights Reserved.
Beyonce spends nearly £1,500 at Nando’s
Its headline reads Even Beyonce Goes to Nandos! E! treats it more as a straight news story, reporting mainly just the facts. The impressive thing that Yahoo! finds from this story is that Beyonce used her real name, but also reports it was a member of her staff, and not the singer herself, who placed the order. Even Business Insider treated Beyonces Nandos purchase as a news story, posting pictures from Twitter of the receipt and two Nandos employees cooking the chicken. So, is this news? Free PR for Beyonce? Free PR for Nandos? People spending far too much time on the Internet? Interestingly, most of whats being written about the purchase is positive.
Beyoncé Orders More Than $2,200 Worth of Fast Food for Her Tour Cast and Crew
Although she later thanked them for the inconvenience, she bizarrely refused to allow UK broadcast company, Channel 4, the rights to film her performance, according to Metro UK . “Thank you all so much for waiting in the rain… Now let’s have some fun in the rain. It feels good doesn’t it,” Beyonce told the crowd. Despite the hiccup, fans appeared to enjoy Beyonce’s 17-track set and were in awe of her new blonde bob hairdo. Just one week after debuting a drastically short pixie haircut, the “Single Ladies” singer showed off a blonde bob while performing for thousands of fans at Hylands Park. One insider attempted to shed light on why exactly Beyonce got rid of her trademark long blonde locks. Beyonce Booed At V Festival; Debuts Blonde Bob
The headliner’s receipt was posted on Twitter and Nando’s Chelmsford manager confirmed a member of Beyonce’s entourage called in with the order. The order included 48 whole chickens, 24 tubs of coleslaw, 58 chicken wing platters and 48 portions of chips. The receipt showed the meal was apparently paid for in cash. Beyonce was the V Festival’s headline act, but was 25 minutes late for her slot. She left fans waiting in heavy rain and some booed her when she did make it on to the stage. But she soon turned the crowd around with a set that included several costume changes as she performed tracks like Run the World and Halo. Her Mrs Carter Show world tour next travels to Philadelphia in the US before heading to South America, with dates in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia and Puerto Rico. Beyonce Isn’t Beyonce Without Her Hair Flip
As a matter of fact, picture this move with MORE hair. Ugh, heaven. Maybe she didn’t go full-weave because she didn’t want a repeat of what happened in Montreal when her hair got stuck in a fan. Maybe this is why she’s wearing a hat. Extra protection from stage fans. It’s almost like you can hear Bey wishing her hair were long enough to touch the surface behind her. It just falls like this naturally, what of it? This wouldn’t look half as sexy with a pixie cut. C’mon.
